2011 Mannerism Stakes Betting

The 2011 Blue Diamond Stakes Day will finish with the running the 2011 Mannerism Stakes (1400m) in Race 9 this Saturday February 26, 2011.

The Group 3 Mannerism Stakes is worth $125,000 and is open to mares aged four-years-old and upwards.

Darren Weir’s Culminate is the current favourite at Luxbet, paying $3.50 for the win.

Culminate has won 12 of her previous 40 starts, including the Group 2 Harrolds Tristarc Stakes earlier this preparation.

The seven-year-old Elnadim mare has drawn barrier five for the 2011 Mannerism Stakes and will be ridden by Michael Walker.

Second favourite to win the 2011 Mannerism Stakes, presently paying odd of $6, is the Testa Rossa mare Red Flair.

Red Flair has only won five of her 32 career starts and has not won a race since March, 2010.

Red Flair has drawn barrier 11 in the 2011 Mannerism Stakes and will have jockey Chris Symons on-board.

Counterpane has been shown support in the betting, despite having only won two of his previous 16 starts.

This will be the four-year-old mare’s second attempt at a Group race, finishing sixth as a three-year-old in the Mittys Vanity on January 30, 2010.

The Lonhro mare has drawn barrier four in the 2011 Mannerism Stakes and will be ridden by regular jockey Kerrin McEvoy.

Counterpane is currenly paying odds of $7 for the win at Luxbet.

Also in the market is John Thompson’s So Anyway and Jim Conlan’s Perfect Hostess, both paying $9 at Luxbet.

So Anyway has drawn barrier three and will carry 56.5 kilograms, while Perfect Hostess will jump from barrier nine and will carry a light 54 kilograms.
