2011 Fireball Handicap Top Tips

Betting on the 2011 Fireball Handicap may look easy with only six runners but all too often these are the races that end in heartbreak for punters.

Usually the small field means small odds but with Luxbet the odds on this year’s $100,000 race at Rosehill Gardens have plenty of value.

Current favourite with punters is the brother of Black Caviar Moshe at a fixed price of $2.40. With a faultless record from his two starts many people are expecting him to breeze through the small field this weekend.

However it’s worth considering his first run was on the country track out in Bendigo and the second run was in a 0-72 handicap at Moonee Valley. While there aren’t as many horses to beat in this run the standard of horse is certainly a lot better.

Celts is next at a $3 fixed price coming off a fifth in the Gucci Stakes after two straight wins. There’s no doubt this filly could do some damage and is one win and two places from her three first up runs.

If you like a bit of value though we’re with you which is why we’re bypassing the two favourites and tipping Decision Time to take home the prize.

Yes the champion gelding will need to overcome a huge weight but the class of this horse has been proven at top level while the others are yet to perform under genuine pressure.

At $6.50 fixed price that’s too much for a three-year-old horse boasting over $1 million in prize money already.

He’s also coming off back to back wins last preparation and is one win and one place from his two first up runs.

If like us you fancy Decision Time to show the up and comers how it’s done or if you think the Black Caviar link is too strong to ignore Moshe, jump on to Luxbet and prove you know best!

Registering an account this week will ensure you’re eligible to claim up to $400 in free bet deposit bonuses!
