2011 Apollo Stakes Form & Betting Update

The 2011 Apollo Stakes is all ready to take place as Race 6 at Rosehill Gardens Racecourse today February 19, 2011.

Jumping at 4.30pm (AEDST), the 2011 Apollo Stakes has once again attracted some of the country’s most talented race horses.

Run over 1,400 metres, the Group 2 Apollo Stakes is worth $250,000 and is run under weight-for-age conditions.

Current favourite for the 2011 Apollo Stakes is still Hot Danish, who has remained favourite since betting opened, but has slightly drifted out from $3.20 to $3.50 a win at Luxbet.

Hot Danish has an excellent second-up record and punters remain confident that she will be fitter after her third place run in the Expressway Stakes two weeks ago.

Love Conquers All

Love Conquers All has been backed into $4.40 after originally opening at $5 for the Apollo Stakes 2011

Love Conquers All has been backed into $4.40 after originally opening at $5 a win at Luxbet.

The four-year-old has a perfect second-up record of two wins from two starts and is obviously in great form after his second placing behind Centennial Park in the Expressway Stakes a fortnight ago.

Settling as third favourite for the 2011 Apollo Stakes is Gerald Ryan’s Melito, who is currently paying $4.80 at Luxbet after opening at $4.40.

Melito is not known for providing great first-up runs but punters remain confident in the classy mare’s ability and are encouraged by word from her trainer that she is in the best form of her career.

The biggest market mover in the 2011 Apollo Stakes field appears to be Centennial Park, who punters have backed in from $7.50 to $6 at Luxbet.

Punters are clearly confident that Centennial Park can make it back to back wins after his victory in the Group 1 Expressway Stakes.

Another market mover is Chris Waller’s Danleigh, who has firmed into odds of $8 to win the 2011 Apollo Stakes.

After originally opening at $9 at Luxbet, punters have shown their support for the seven-year-old gelding to win consecutive Apollo Stakes titles.

Odds for the 2011 Apollo Stakes field are now available at our favourite online bookmaker Luxbet where you can receive a free $400 bet when you join and quote the promo code BONUS400.
