Murwillumbah trainer Matthew Dunn is looking...
The 2011 Triscay Stakes will run as Race 7 on Apollo Stakes Day this Saturday February 19, 2011.
Early support has flooded in for Gai Waterhouse’s four-year-old mare Kiss From A Rose, who is paying $3 to win the 2011 Triscay Stakes at Luxbet.
Kiss From A Rose has won three of her five races so far, and is looking for a first up win in the 2011 Triscay Stakes after winning two barrier trials last month.
Currently second favourite at Luxbet is Kiss From A Rose’s stablemate More Strawberries paying $7.
More Strawberries was a late scratching from last Saturday’s Light Fingers Stakes after she was exhibiting signs of a slight cold.
Grahame Begg’s Cabernet is currently third favourite to win the 2011 Apollo Stakes, paying $8 for the win at Luxbet.
Cabernet has won her last three races straight, and will be hoping to make it five wins out of nine races with a victory in the 2011 Apollo Stakes.
The Al Maher mare is yet to win over the 1,200 metre distance, and is usually at her best over shorter 1,200 metre races.
Also paying $8 for a win at Luxbet is Peter Snowden’s four-year-old mare Trim.
The classy Lonhro mare has won three of her thirteen starts so far, but has won all of these races over a 1,200 metre distance.
However, Trim won the Group 3 APN Outdoor Research Stakes last prep and will be hoping to make a mark on the rest of the field first-up in the 2011 Apollo Stakes.
