Results For Randwick Race 3 – Screen Wins Trippas White Group Handicap

The third race at Randwick has been won by the $3.20 favourite #11 Screen.

Screen missed the start and quickly settle third last in the field at the beginning of the Trippas White Group Handicap.

Gabrielle Englebrecht’s five-year-old mare #12 Dailika sprung out of the stalls to make her way to an early lead, and #2 Eire of Majic settled last.

#4 Honest Lies began to edge her way three wide through the field and Fitness Fanatic also made a run down the outside at the home turn.

Down the home straight Screen hooked out from a bad position in the centre of the field to come down the outside and dived on the post to snare the win from Dailika.

Screen has now won three of his five races this preparation, including the Sydney Carnival On Sale for Fillies & Mares last start.

Peter Snowden was happy with his four-year-old mare Screen’s performance but thought she would have won by a fair bit more had she not missed the start.

Screen will be sent out to the paddock for the next week or so for a freshen up and will be looking for some more Listed races to tackle in the coming weeks.
