Caulfield Betting Tips – 2011 Kevin Hayes Stakes

The 2011 Listed Kevin Hayes Stakes is set to take place as Race 6 at Caulfield’s C.F. Orr Stakes Day on Saturday February 12, 2011.

The 2011 Kevin Hayes Stakes will be run over 1,200 metres and is restricted to three-year-old fillies only.

The set-weight plus penalties race is worth $100,000 in prize money.

Currently favourite at Luxbet is #5 Zelsnitz who has won two of her previous four starts, including the Listed Race-Tech Stakes at Sandown on November 13, 2010.

The Snitzel filly is currently paying $4 for the win at Luxbet.

The team at are backing a different filly, however, to win this year’s Kevin Hayes Stakes.

We are putting our money on #1 Sistine Angel who is presently paying very juicy odds of $8 a win at Luxbet.

Sistine Angel is trained by Andrew Noblet and has been allocated barrier 6 for the 2011 Kevin Hayes Stakes.

For runner-up we are backing Greg Eurell’s filly #7 Pinker Pinker.

The Reset filly is racing first up tomorrow and is looking to claim her third win in seven starts.

Pinker Pinker will be jumping from barrier four and is right now paying $10 a win at Luxbet.

We also like the look of #11 Storm Burst and #4 Cristallo.

Storm Burst has been given a light 54 kilograms to carry in the 2011 Kevin Hayes Stakes and will be ridden by apprentice jockey Jake Noonan.

Cristallo has drawn the unlucky barrier of 18, however, if the emergencies do not get a start she will finish up jumping from barrier 15.

Cristallo had a disappointing run last start when she finished last in a five horse field at Caulfield on January 26.

However, this was the Testa Rossa filly’s f irst time with winkers on and it obviously affected her race.

We are confident that Cristallo will have learnt a lot from her last start and will be a definite chance to finish in the placings.
