2011 Blue Diamond Prelude Fillies Betting – Caulfield Race 5 Tips

One of the biggest two-year-old races of the season is set to begin in Race 5 at 3.10pm (AEDST) this Saturday February 12 with the running of the 2011 Blue Diamond Prelude (Fillies).

The Group 3 Blue Diamond Prelude (Fillies) will be run over 1,100 metres and once again will feature some of the country’s most talented two-year-old fillies.

Here at Races.com.au we have the hottest tips for this year’s race, which you will be able to bet on at Luxbet very shortly.

We are backing the Peter Snowden mare #4 Glissade to win the 2011 Blue Diamond Prelude (Fillies).

While the young filly has only had two previous starts, Glissade already has experience over the 1,100 metre distance and we feel that the Darley-owned horse will be the best on the day.

Furthermore Glissade has been lucky enough to draw barrier one in the 2011 Blue Diamond Prelude (Fillies) and this should only help her on her way to a nice lead.

You can’t go past the winner of the Blue Diamond Preview (Fillies), #1 One Last Dance, when looking at this classy field.

The Encosta De Lago filly has an impeccable record of two wins from two starts and obviously has a lot of talent to offer.

The only thing that will hinder her in this race, and makes us feel that she may not quite make the win, is the fact that she will be jumping from barrier 12 in the 2011 Blue Diamond Prelude (Fillies).

Also, the Peter Moody trained filly is yet to have experience in covering 1,100 metres, however, we are sure that One Last Dance will definitely give the others a run for their money.

The team at Races.com.au also fancies Mick Price’s #5 Holdontoyahorses.

Holdontoyahorses has won her last two starts over 1,100 metres and will be jumping from barrier six.

She will be ridden by Damien Oliver, and with the same jockey and barrier draw as in her last win,  Holdontoyahorses most definitely has the experience to make a mark on the 2011 Blue Diamond Prelude (Fillies).

Why not have a go at a trifecta with these three horses, or try to pick the winner, at Luxbet, the trusted bookmaker that provides the best odds.

Caulfield Race 5 Tips – 2011 Blue Diamond Prelude (Fillies)

  • Races.com.au Favourite: #4 Glissade
  • Best Place Bets: #1 On Last Dance, #5 Holdontoyahorses and #11 Tumble Turn

#11 Tumble Turn is also worth a look, with the Roudoute’s Choice filly winning her first start over 1,100 metres last month.

While she is less experienced that some of the others in the field, Paul Messara’s Tumble Turn won her last race by five lengths, proving she has some obvious talent and is definitely worth an each way bet at Luxbet.
