Today is a real treat for horse racing fans and punters right across the nation with five TAB meets set to take place including a bumper raceday at Sandown featuring two stakes races transferred from the weekend washout at Caulfield.

Headlining the line-up at Betfair Park Sandown Hillside this Wednesday February 9 are Race 5 the $100,000 Listed Chairman’s Stakes (1000m) for two-year-olds due to jump at 2:10pm (AEDST) and Race 6 the $100,000 Listed Manfred Stakes (1300m) for three-year-olds at 2:45pm (AEDST).

Later today will publish our exclusive Chairman’s Stakes and Manfred Stakes betting tips so stay tuned.

There are also quality metro meets taking place at Randwick, Doomben and Ascot today while Gawler in South Australia is set to host a bumper 10-race programme as well.

The massive 10-race programme at Sandown is set to start at 12:00pm (AEDST) with the $30,000 PFD Food Services Handicap (1800m) where we fancy #3 Red Hustler to win the opening race of the day.

Highlights of course are races five and six, the 2011 Chairman’s Stakes where classy juveniles including Atomic and Cape Canaveral will face off and the 2011 Manfred Stakes featuring dual Group 1 winner Star Witness.

  • Gawler (SA) Race 1 jumps at 12:35pm (AEDST) – Bet now at Luxbet

Gawler in South Australia has a huge 10-race card scheduled for this Wednesday, things there getting underway at 12:35pm (AEDST) with the $10,000 Peter Lehmann Shiraz / SABOIS Fillies & Mares Maiden Plate (1100m).

One of the best races will be Race 5 the $10,000 Mitavite Class 1 Handicap (1200m) at 2:53pm (AEDST) where we fancy #3 Artechs from the inside alley, while in Race 6 the $10,000 Peter Lehmann Chardonnay Class 1 Handicap (1200m) at 3:28pm (AEDST) the Mark Kavanagh-trained Strum Cha looks a good pick at nice odds.

  • Randwick (NSW) Race 1 jumps at 1:15pm (AEDST) – Bet now at Luxbet

In New South Wales the great racing action continues at Randwick’s Kensington track with the first of seven events, the $27,000 New Beginnings Handicap (1000m), kicking things off at 1:15pm (AEDST).

Lots of exciting handicap races to enjoy a punt on at Randwick today including Race 3 the $27,000 Queens Park Handicap (1300m) at 2:25pm (AEDST) where our favourite three-year-old filly is #3 Honour Net.

Also Race 7, the $27,000 Bronte Handicap (1400m) bringing things to a close at 5:00pm (AEDST), is shaping up as a beauty and #8 Markab despite their wide draw looks the pick as the favourite.

  • Doomben (QLD)Race 1 jumps at 2:33pm (AEDST) – Bet now at Luxbet

In Queensland, Brisbane’s Doomben Racecourse is set to host a small six-race programme today starting with the $13,000 Glenlogan Park Stud Two-Years-Old Maiden Plate (1110m) at 2:33pm (AEDST).

Last race on the card looks the highlight when Race 6 – the $13,000 Bundaberg Rum Class 3 Handicap (1110m) jumps at 5:48pm (AEDST) – and we fancy #4 Seek And Find to win after a close last start second.

  • Ascot (WA)Race 1 jumps at 2:57pm (AEDST) – Bet now at Luxbet

Later this afternoon Western Australia’s leading track at Ascot will be home to an excellent eight-race programme starting at 2:57pm (AEDST) with the $19,000 Westspeed 2YO Plate (1000m).

Ascot Race 4, the $19,000 Westspeed 3YO Handicap (1200m) at 4:53pm (AEDST), is worth a punt on here and #1 Remember is a nice filly who can handle their hefty weight and win.
