In a thrilling finish to what has been a top-class day of racing at the Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast galloper Ready To Rip has won the final Magic Millions Race Day event scoring a close win in the $82,000 Magic Millions Class 6 Plate (1200m).

A classy More Than Ready gelding, Ready To Rip was positioned on the outside of the early leaders letting the likes of Carlton Forward, Al Mazaya and What Happenedhenry set the pace in the 2011 Magic Millions Class 6 Plate.

The field rapidly moved up over the final 200m and in a tight finish Ready To Rip ($3.40), in another brilliant ride for the day by Corey Brown, held them off to narrowly take the prize from the Tony Gollan-trained Easy Rocker ($17) and Gundy Son ($8).

Early leader Carlton Forward did well to hang on and finish fourth.

Ready To Rip, trained by Andrew Williamson, has now won three of their five career starts, so expect to see plenty more from them around the Queensland tracks.
