The first of the two major features at this year’s 2011 Magic Millions Race Day at the Gold Coast today is Race 6 – the $1 million Magic Millions 3YO Guineas – and with jump time approaching the betting markets are getting plenty of action.

Clear favourite to win the 2011 Magic Millions 3YO Guineas is still #3 Top Drop who remains steady in the odds at $4.20 through Luxbet, in from $4.40 overnight.

Plenty to love about her including an ideal barrier four draw, and again, punters are starting to see what we see and have backed Barry Baldwin’s classy filly in from $9 yesterday to $7.50 at Luxbet this morning.

There’s also been some love for #10 Torio’s Quest, now at $7 in from $7.50.

Torio’s Quest is out in the far outside barrier, but with a hugely impressive winning strike rate of three wins from four starts and a last start victory in the Wyong Magic Millions 3YO feature, interesting they’re not the favourite.

Lots of the changes to the Magic Millions Guineas market have come about due to the scratching of #4 American Crew, who was one of the top picks at around $9.

Now #17 Power Of Ed gets a start and at $51 could be a really good roughie to put in your top three with some solid form and a great barrier three draw.
