  • Randwick (NSW)Race 1 jumps at 1:15pm (AEDST) – Bet now at Luxbet

Kensington Racetrack at Randwick has seven top events running today with the $27,000 Clovelly Handicap (1300m) first up at 1:15pm (AEDST).

The last three events on the card are the best for punters all featuring excellent fields with horses trained by the likes of Peter Snowden, John O’Shea, Chris Waller, Grahame Begg and John Thompson all racing.

Our Randwick race tip of the day is #8 Cuddles For Naara to win Race 6 – the $27,000 Paddington Handicap (1100m).

  • Eagle Farm (QLD)Race 1 jumps at 1:23pm (AEDST) – Bet now at Luxbet

In Queensland, Brisbane’s Eagle Farm Racecourse is set to host an excellent eight-event card today starting with the $13,000 Mimiki Foundation Maiden Plate (1000m) at 1:23pm (AEDST).

Later in the day a number of premier handicap races will take place, but the best event at the meeting is Race 8 – the $25,000 Brisbane Racing Club Open Handicap (2153m) where the hot favourite #1 Eureka looks hard to beat.

If you fancy an upset in Eagle Farm Race 8 however, then our pick is the super consistent #6 Old Drover at good odds.

  • Caulfield (VIC)Race 1 jumps at 1:35pm (AEDST) – Bet now at Luxbet

Victoria’s best race meeting this Wednesday will run at Caulfield where the first of seven races is the $30,000 Harrolds Handicap (2000m) jumping at 1:35pm (AEDST) – our pick to win being #3 Sickle.

There are plenty of elite races running at Caulfield today including Race 3 – the $30,000 Yalumba Handicap (1440m) where our favourite filly is #4 Elsewhere.

Also keep an eye out for #6 Trajet in Race 7 – the $30,000 Tony Vasil Handicap (1440m).

  • Strathalbyn (SA)Race 1 jumps at 1:08pm (AEDST) – Bet now at Luxbet

Strathalbyn in South Australia also has eight races taking place today, things getting underway just after 1pm (AEDST) when the $10,000 West End Sabois Fillies & Mares Maiden Plate (1350m).

Races 7 and 8 look the highlights here today and in Race 7 – the $10,000 Merry Christmas to our Patrons Rating 0 – 75 Star Of Christmas (1350m) we like the look of #4 Dieselfuel to win despite their wide draw, while in Race 8 – the $10,000 Strathalbyn Cup 16 January 2011 4Up Rating 0-62 Handicap (1350m) #6 Park Ranger is our favourite of the field.

  • Ascot (WA)Race 1 jumps at 2:57pm (AEDST) – Bet now at Luxbet

Later this afternoon Perth’s premier racetrack at Ascot will host a bumper nine-race programme starting with the $20,000 Westspeed 3YO Handicap (1400m) where #3 Miss Tipsy Topsy will take some catching.

Other highlights on the Ascot card include Race 8 – the $20,000 2011 Perth Cup Day @ Ascot Saturday January 1 (1200m) where our pick to win is #6 Elle Choisit, and Race 9 – the $20,000 2010 Cox Stakes Day @ Ascot Saturday December 18 (1200m) where we fancy the in-form and well drawn #9 Rayo Veloz to win by a plenty.
