Morphettville Saturday Race Tips – December 4th

This Saturday December 4th, Adelaide’s Morphettville Parks Racecourse in South Australia will host the state’s major TAB race meeting for the weekend with a top eight-event schedule ready to take place.

Perth may hold the honours of hosting the premier Saturday race meeting with Ascot’s Kingston Town Classic Day, but the card at Morphettville is also a beauty giving punters plenty of chances to win big!

Many leading trainers including David Hayes, Peter Moody, Mick Price and John Thompson have horses racing at Morphettville tomorrow.

Feature races to enjoy a punt on include Race 1 the $40,000 Allan Scott Park Morphettville Plate (100m) for two-year-olds and Race 2 the $32,000 Betfair Handicap (1400m).

See below for our top three picks in each of the Morphettville races tomorrow. The first horse listed in each event is the one we have rated special to win at their current odds through Luxbet while the other two are our favourites to place.

Get a heads up on the other punters and take advantage of our insider tips at the best prices by placing your bets at Luxbet where you will find Australia’s premium selection of horse racing markets and betting bonuses!

Morphettville Race 1 – Allan Scott Park Morphettville Plate (1000m)

  • #3 Bay’s Edge from #1 My Last and #2 La Caramba – Bet now at Luxbet

Bay’s Edge, David Hayes’ well-bred Anabaa filly, makes her much anticipated race debut and has the bloodline and ability to win.

Morphettville Race 2 – Patinack Farm Handicap (1000m)

  • #1 Lady Brolga from #2 Little Fireball and #6 Vulnerable Moment – Bet now at Luxbet

Lady Brolga is hard to go past, this unbeaten Devaraja filly looking for her fourth win from as many starts after taking out all three of her races as a two-year-old. Resuming after a lengthy spell but form says to stick with her.

Morphettville Race 3 – Betfair Handicap (1400m)

  • #3 Silky Smooth from #1 Rockwood and #5 Chief Of Staff – Bet now at Luxbet

Silky Smooth is a well tried six-year-old with 40 career starts to their name, has only produced five wins but looks the pick in this field with a nice weight.

Morphettville Race 4 – Brecknock Insurance Brokers Handicap (1250m)

  • #4 She Swings and #6 Tahnee Topaz and #1 Orbiting Belle – Bet now at Luxbet

She Swings drawn midfield in barrier five and coming off an eye-catching second here last start over the distance. Up in the  weights, but the Richard Jolly-trained mare can rise and win.

Morphettville Race 5 – Schweppes Tonic Handicap (2250m)

  • #8 Wild Manners from #2 Gotta Keep Cool and #3 Daydream Charlie – Bet now at Luxbet

Wild Manners one of the best roughie picks of the day. Very generous odds considering they have the perfect barrier three draw, light 53kg weight after carrying 57kg to victory last start, and seeking their third win on the trot.

Morphettville Race 6 – Sportingbet Handicap (1400m)

  • #1 Jeter from #5 Dubai Me Diamonds and #4 Smoke ‘em Billy – Bet now at Luxbet

Jeter is the top-weighted entry with 58kg, but has the class to crush this field. Coming off three straight wins and drawn in barrier two, John Thompson’s Mossman filly will be very hard to beat.

Morphettville Race 7 – Ellen Grant’s 21st Handicap (1250m)

  • #6 The Handsome One from #5 Ocsmepop and #11 Mr Good Cat – Bet now at Luxbet

The Handsome One can return to form with a drop back in class here. Failed at their two Victorian carnival starts last month but at this track against this field the Shamardal gelding can get back to business.

Morphettville Race 8 – Win Ormond Handicap (1550m)

  • #6 Tonzaticka from #13 Public Holiday and #11 Seduced – Bet now at Luxbet

Tonzaticka is drawn wide but Peter Moody’s Show A Heart four-year-old can cause an upset with a nice weight and ready to show improvement third up for the season.
