Eagle Farm Race Day Tips – Saturday December 4

While Ascot Racecourse hosts the highly anticipated 2010 Kingston Town Classic tomorrow, Saturday December 4, in Brisbane Eagle Farm Racecourse is preparing to run their own bumper race meeting headlined by the $200,000 Group 3 George Moore Stakes (1200m).

A cracker eight-event race card is planned for the premier Queensland metropolitan track, and below the team at Races.com.au provide our exclusive Eagle Farm race tips.

The 2010 George Moore Stakes featuring the likes of Gillian Heinrich’s Ghetto Blaster, Phelan Ready and Funtantes is scheduled as Race 7 and is shaping up as a thrilling showdown not to miss.

The other highlight on the Eagle Farm programme for Saturday is Race 6 – the $100,000 Listed Mode Plate (1200m) for three-year-old fillies.

In each of the eight races running at Eagle Farm tomorrow, we have listed the horse we have rated special to win as well as the two other gallopers in the fields to tip for the Place bets or to add into the exciting Trifecta markets.

When you are ready to get your bets down and cash in on our selections, make sure you avoid the poor odds at the TAB and get a better price through the Tabcorp-owned online bookie Luxbet.

Eagle Farm Race 1 – Montrose Access QTIS Two-Years-Old Handicap (1200m)

  • #1 Five O’Clock from #2 Borehole and #5 Stage Exit – Bet now at Luxbet

Five O’Clock is the top weight as the only horse with a win up their sleeve here, won on debut at Doomben on November 20 showing lots of promise.

Eagle Farm Race 2 – Precision Tailors One Metro Win Handicap (1500m)

  • #2 Rapid Magic from #1 Mr Armstrong and #8 Miss Cutie – Bet now at Luxbet

Rapid Magic likely to start the favourite, ideal barrier one draw and good weight, can improve on recent starts and win for Gerald Ryan.

Eagle Farm Race 3 – Promote Me Two Metro Wins Handicap (1000m)

  • #1 Tycoon Tattoo from #11 Optimizing and #6 Chaste – Bet now at Luxbet

Tycoon Tattoo has ideal draw and preparation for this, coming off a last start win in Toowoomba and can handle the weight.

Eagle Farm Race 4 – Ritchie Bros Auctioneers Class 6 Handicap (2128m)

  • #1 Raeburn from #5 Smuggler’s Inn and #7 Mr Boogiewoogie – Bet now at Luxbet

Raeburn pronounced favourite here and best not to lay. Got a good barrier four drawn and has been in peak conditions with a last start win at Doomben over 2020m. Loves the track.

Eagle Farm Race 5 – Burrell Stockbroking QTIS Three-Years-Old Handicap (1600m)

  • #3 Altai Warrior from #2 Big Ken The Celt  and #1 Craigellachie  – Bet now at Luxbet

Altai Warrior well weighted with 56kg and to be ridden by top jockey. The three-year-old colt is seeking their second win after success at Ipswich last month and has shown lots of promise.

Eagle Farm Race 6 – Girl Fridays Mode Plate (1200m)

  • #4 Pyrography from #2 Bianca Jewel and #3 Miss Imagica – Bet now at Luxbet

Very open field but hard to go past Pyrography despite their horror draw. Has the ability to overcome wide start and make it three straight for the season.
