2010 Kingston Town Classic Day

The 2010 Kingston Town Classic Day will light up the famous Ascot Racecourse in Perth this Saturday December 4th, as the third and final meeting of the mini Festival of Perth Racing.

A sensational race card featuring nine quality events make up the Perth Summer Racing Carnival meet, the highlight of the day being the $500,000 Group 1 Kingston Town Classic (1800m) scheduled as Race 7.

The 2010 Kingston Town Classic originally drew a final field of 16 acceptors but following the early scratching of #3 Luen Yat Forever and #8 Almohad, there are now 14 horses set to line-up on Saturday.

Leading the Kingston Town Classic odds is Neville Parnham’s star three-year-old Playing God paying $4.20 at Luxbet with Famous Roman the current second elect at $7.

Two other black-type races headline the Kingston Town Classic Day programme with Race 6 the $125,000 Group 3 Lee Steere Classic (1400m) and Race 8 the $80,000 Listed G.A. Towton Cup (2200m) both providing premium betting opportunities for punters.

In the Lee Steere Classic the favourites will be super consistent Blackfriars gelding Black Felix and classy filly Even Astar, while in the G.A. Towton Cup last start winner of the Listed Tattersall’s Cup (2100m) Aquinas drawn on the rails is hard to go past.

To accompany the elite summer racing action, Kingston Town Classic Day will also feature great trackside entertainment with an early Christmas Party at the Flame Tree Lawn and other carnival-themed festivities.

The complete 2010 GR Engineering Kingston Town Classic Day race schedule is detailed below and don’t forget, for the best odds on all the Ascot races this weekend, premier online bookie Luxbet should be your number one choice!
