Hot Tamale is drawn in the far outside barrier, but the Paul Jordan-trained Oratorio filly was super impressive from this gate last start when they won the Westspeed 3YO Handicap at this track and distance. The form is there and her odds are good.

Celebration Girl is drawn in barrier two which will suit while Cappuccino Time adds value to the Trifecta, the Blackfriars gelding resuming from a spell and ready to add to their consistent record.

Ascot Race 2 Tips – Burswood’s 25^th Birthday Handicap (2200m)

• Best Place Bets: #1 Double Barrel and #5 Rivotio

Western Jewel is the clear favourite in the odds after drawing barrier two. The Grant Williams-trained Jeune mare is in career best form having won a 2100m race here last start.

Adan Durrant’s seven-year-old Double Barrel is also in-form and coming off a gallant third to Aquinas in the Listed Tattersall’s Cup (2100m) last Saturday.

Ascot Race 3 Tips – Rockpool Bar & Grill Handicap (1600m)

• Best Place Bets: #3 Star Risca and #11 Dominicano

Xaaravid is current equal favourite with Dominicano in the odd, but with Xaaravid coming off a Group win in the Carbine Club of WA Stakes (1400m), we fancy George Daly’s four-year-old over the rest of the field.

Dominicano still looks good for a place, nice lightweight with just 53kg, along with Star Risca who has been very consistent recently.

Ascot Race 4 Tips – Kailis International Jockey Challenge Heat 1 (1200m)

• Best Place Bets: #15 Global Flirt and #12 Isabella Maree

Elle Choisit one of the best value picks of the day at double figure odds. Good starting position in barrier three giving them an advantage for the sprint, a last start win for the Choisir mare also a good factor as is the drop in weight from 58kg to 57kg.

Global Flirt the favourite to place with a nice light weight and imposing record of three wins and two placings from five starts, but is resuming after a lengthy spell.

Ascot Race 5 Tips – Kailis International Jockey Challenge Heat 2 (1400m)

• Best Place Bets: #4 Delta Bay and #6 Classic Drop

Broome Time is one of the top picks and our favourite. Lovely recent form at the track with a 1400m victory and two seconds over 1400m and 1200m.

Delta Bay also a fancy with the punters and rightfully so, while Classic Drop is our roughie place pick of the day at a quote of around $40 – is drawn wide but has a last start win behind them, a nice drop back in weight from 59kg to 54.5kg and has champion hoop Nicholas Hall in the mount.

Ascot Race 6 Tips – Jungle Dawn Classic (1400m)

• Best Place Bets: #1 Power Princess and #9 Tranquillity

Mabel Grace is at a nice price to cause an upset, coming off a third to Xaaravid in the Carbine Club of WA Stakes.

Shorter priced entries Power Princess and Tranquillity are hard to go past to fill the placings, favourite Power Princess coming off a win in the Jungle Mist Class but heavily weighted.

Ascot Race 7 Tips – Winterbottom Stakes (1200m)

• Races.com.au Favourite: #10 Waratah’s Secret – Rated Special to Win at $5.50 Luxbet
• Best Place Bets: #7 Whitefriars and #8 King Kool Kat

Feature of the day and second favourite Waratah’s Secret looks very capable of beating the Sydney raider Whitefriars here.

The David Harrison-trained Waratah’s Secret has the barrier, form and experience at the track including their win in the Prince of Wales Stakes (1200m) two starts back for this and it’s hard to see why they are drifting in the market.

Whitefriars to place, quality of the interstate galloper speaks for itself, while King Kool Kat adds value to the exotics – the veteran seven-year-old in career best form this season.

Ascot Race 8 Tips – Aquanita Stakes (1800m)

• Best Place Bets: #2 Hoegaarden and #3 Hour of Peril

Neville Parnham’s well-bred Blackfriars colt Playing God is the red hot favourite for a reason. Has the run on the rails from gate one, an imposing career record of three wins and two placings from seven starts and a big Group 2 victory in the WA Guineas under their belt from last start.

Second favourite Hoegaarden to do just that and finish second, third in the WA Guineas after having beaten Playing God in the Listed Fairetha Stakes prior to that.

Newcastle galloper Hour of Peril our other top pick, tipped to improve in their second Perth start after failing to impress in the Guineas.

Ascot Race 9 Tips – New Atrium Buffet Handicap (1800m)

Highest Honour is at a good price as the second favourite behind Mighty Rossa, drawn on the inside with gate one the in-form mare has a nice record at the track and has just 53kg.
