Patinack Farm Classic Field Guide & Form – Emirates Stakes Day Race 5

The 2010 Patinack Farm Classic field has been released, and it seems that not too many sprinters are willing to take on a race that includes both Hay List and Black Caviar.

Number 1 is All Silent, who has failed to even place this season, with runs in the Group 1 Manikato Stakes and Group 3 Betfair Stakes.

Number 2 is Hay List, undefeated this season, winning the Manikato Stakes and the Group 2 Gilgai Stakes at 1200 metres at Flemington.

Number 3 is Eagle Falls, fourth place in the Group 2 Schweppes Stakes last night and third in the Manikato Stakes.

Number 4 is Melito, who recently came fifth in the Schweppes Stakes. She has performed decently on slow tracks but does not run well on a heavy track.

Number 5 is Ortensia, coming back after a break. Her last win was 4 starts ago in the 1100 metre Group 1 The James Boag Galaxy.

Number 6 is Black Caviar, undefeated in all 7 of her starts, with wins in the Schweppes Stakes and Group 2 Schillaci Stakes.

Number 7 is Star Witness, winner of the 1200 metre Group 1 Coolmore Stud Stakes at Flemington last start and also this year’s Group 1 Blue Diamond Stakes winner.
