Inglis Banner Stakes Betting Tips – Cox Plate Day Race 1

Today the opening race on the 2010 Cox Plate Day programme is the $250,000 Inglis Banner (1000m) set to kick things off at 12:35pm (AEDST).

Moonee Valley Race 1, the 2010 Inglis Banner, has attracted a final field of 11 two-year-olds lead by the odds-on favourite Masthead.

Drawn mid-field in barrier seven and set to be ridden by Danny Nikolic, the Lee Freedman-trained Masthead is currently paying $5.00 to win the set weights feature through Luxbet.

Making his race debut today, the Written Tycoon colt showed his potential in a winning barrier trial last month and is also the Races.com.au pick of the field.

Moonee Valley – Race 1 – Inglis Banner

  • Races.com.au Favourite: #5 Masthead – Rated Special to Win at $5.00 Luxbet
  • Best Place Bets: #6 Mirror Man and #9 Elite Falls – Luxbet

With little form to go on as many of the runners are making their race debuts in the Inglis Banner today, it is a relatively wide-open betting market with a number of other top chances.

Our two other favourites to finish in the money and to put Place wagers on are Mirror Man and Elite Falls.

Mirror Man may have drawn wide but is an emerging colt also coming off a winning barrier trial who worked here well on Tuesday morning while the John O’Shea-trained Elite Falls is a well bred More Than Ready filly with a race start in the Gimcrack Stakes already up her sleeve.

Meanwhile, grey filly Manor Lady drawn well in barrier three and the Gillian Heinrich-trained Pensive Dream are also high up the betting markets tipped to put in big runs today.

So start Cox Plate Day off with a win and get in on the Inglis Banner markets open at Luxbet now!
