2010 AAMI Vase Field Lead by Victoria Derby Bound Rekindled Interest

The final field of three-year-olds set to contest the 2010 AAMI Vase at Moonee Valley on Saturday’s Cox Plate Day has been released with 14 horses plus one emergency paid up for the set weights feature.

The $200,000 Group 2 AAMI Vase (2040m) is one of nine quality races scheduled for the meeting, the day headlined by the much anticipated $3 million Group 1 Cox Plate (2040m).

But before the action of the 2010 Cox Plate, the AAMI Vase will be a great earlier showdown to enjoy a punt on through Luxbet!

Many runners heading towards the Group 1 Victoria Derby during the Melbourne Cup Carnival are set to run in the Vase on Saturday including one of the early favourites, Rekindled Interest.

Drawn midfield in barrier eight, Redoute’s Choice gelding Rekindled Interest is coming off an eye-catching fifth to Anacheeva in the Caulfield Guineas and is set to improve on Saturday.

Another runner ready for a big race on Saturday is the Graeme Rogerson-trained Dulled gelding Shootoff, who made a huge form turnaround last start placing third in the Group 1 Spring Champion Stakes (2000m).

Shootoff has drawn well in barrier four for Saturday and after going out as a $151 chance in the Spring Champion Stakes, punters can expect his odds to be a lot shorter this time!

Maestro trainer Bart Cummings is set to start two of his emerging three-year-olds with Kudakulari and Cosmonaut, the talent duo both suffering a blow with wide barrier draws.

Other notable runners in the AAMI Vase this year include Stutt Stakes winner Hollowlea out to improve on their failed Caulfield Guineas run, Kiwi galloper Lion Tamer and the Lee Freedman-trained Smokin’ Joey

The 2010 AAMI Vase is scheduled as Race 6 at Moonee Valley on Saturday, due to jump at 4:00pm (AEDST).

If you hurry and sign up with Luxbet now you can be one of the lucky 1,000 punters to cash in on their free $400 bonus bet offer in time for Cox Plate Day. There are less than 400 offers left remaining so head to Luxbet and take advantage of this exclusive free bet bonus today!
