The sixth race to light up the Caulfield track at today’s 2010 Caulfield Cup Day meeting is the $125,000 Group 3 Betfair Stakes (1400m) for four-year-olds due to jump at 2:40pm (AEDST).
The 2010 Betfair Moonga Stakes final field featured 14 runners but is now down to 12 following this morning’s scratching of #3 Albert The Fat and #10 Dao Dao.
It is a wide-open betting market where many starters have claims in Caulfield Race 6, with Jungle Ruler currently the narrow favourite paying $5 at Ladbrokes.com.au.
Jungle Ruler loves it wet, which is why the veteran seven-year-old has been getting love from the punters to win on the rain-affected track today.
However, Races.com.au have selected two other runners that all have genuine claims and can win today with a bit of luck.
Caulfield – Race 6 – Betfair Stakes
- Races.com.au Favourites: #8 Demerit and #9 Trader – Bet now at Ladbrokes.com.au
Without a clear favourite in the field, our top pick on the Betfair Stakes today is to lock in Demerit and Trader into a Quinella at a great price.
Demerit is drawn well a little wider today and 1400m is the ideal distance for this improving Lonhro four-year-old.
Trader also looks very promising here and paying $21 at the moment, is an excellent value pick.
