Sprint Series Final Betting Tips – Caulfield Race 9
The action of Caulfield Guineas Day comes to a close with Race 9 this afternoon, the $100,000 Listed Sprint Series Final (1200m) jumping at 5:20pm.
The 2010 Sprint Series Final will be contested by a field of 14 mares following the scratching of #10 Sweepstaking and #15 Miss Octopussy.
In a very open betting market for the final race of the meeting, the current favourite to win is Avenue paying $4.80 at Sportsbet.
Top-weight with 57.5kg, the Peter Moody-trained Avenue is set to jump midfield from barrier nine with Luke Nolen aboard, who was the jockey riding the Anabaa mare to victory last start in the Testa Rossa Stakes over 1200m here.
Coming off a good win at Caulfield and arguably the classiest runner in the field, Avenue is the Races.com.au top pick to win the Sprint Series today.

There are a number of other highly rated runners in Race 9 at Caulfield today that the punters are getting behind, and of the field we have picked our three favourites to Place.
Rhythm In Paris, drawn midfield in barrier seven and due to be ridden by Damien Oliver, is looking to return to form after winning the Cockram Stakes here last month.
Another one to watch is the Clarry Conners-trained mare Dorf Command, out wide but still at the top of the betting markets thanks to an eye-catching second at Randwick late last month.
Finally, horse #3 I’m A Hussy looks the best runner to cause an upset at a good price paying $7 at Sportsbet to win the Sprint Series Final.
The six-year-old mare has been in career best form over the past two months, winning a mares’ handicap over 1100m here on August 28 and then finishing second to Valentine Miss in the How Now Stakes also at Caulfield last start.
I’m A Hussy has also drawn ideally today in barrier two and is due to be ridden by Ben Melham.
