Divorces Opens at Top of 2010 Crown Oaks Odds

Peter Snowden’s classy filly Divorces is the odds-on favourite to win the 2010 Crown Oaks this November after premier online bookmaker Sportsbet opened their Crown Oaks betting markets today.

Having secured her maiden win in the Group 3 Thousand Guineas Prelude (1400m) a fortnight ago, three-year-old Domesday filly Divorces has been installed as the $7 favourite for the $1 million Group 1 Crown Oaks (2500m).

The 2010 Crown Oaks is the marquee race on Crown Oaks Day at Flemington during the esteemed Melbourne Cup Carnival on Thursday November 4.

More Strawberries, Gai Waterhouse’s impressive daughter of More Than Ready, was thought to open the favourite after winning both the Furious Stakes and Tea Rose Stakes this season, but is the second elect at $10 making her an excellent pick!

Other fillies at the top of the betting for the classic include Ringa Ringa Rosie ($11), Becerra ($13), Dizlago ($13) and Yosei ($13).

Sportsbet are offering generous early quotes on many of the other notable fillies that were among the 89 Crown Oaks nominations.

At a quote of $31 Heartsareforlove and Pinker Pinker could prove great value bets that cause a Crown Oaks upset!

Betting also opened on the 2010 Victoria Derby today with Altius the early favourite.

The 2010 Crown Oaks final field of acceptances will be released on Monday November 1 and we will publish the list of fillies paid up for the event moments after its 9am release so bookmark this page.

But right now is the time to get the best odds on your Crown Oaks favourites and to ensure you get the top price sign up with Ladbrokes.com.au!
