Fifty-eight fillies remain in contention for the 2010 Thousand Guineas after the list of hopefuls was cut from 100 with yesterday’s second declarations.

The $500,000 Group 1 Thousand Guineas (1600m) will take place at Caulfield on Wednesday October 13 and following the second acceptances, two top fillies are fighting for favouritism in the betting markets.

Gai Waterhouse’s in-form More Strawberries and the Peter Snowden-trained Divorces lead the odds paying $5 and $5.50 at Sportsbet.
