Horse Racing Today – Wednesday 8 September

Midweek horse racing today offers punters a great line up of quality metropolitan and country race meets.

Metropolitan racing today includes Betfair Park Sandown in Melbourne, Canterbury Park in Sydney, Eagle Farm in Brisbane and Belmont in Perth.

In Hobart it is Clarence Cup Day, which was postponed until today after being abandoned on Sunday 5th September.

Today there will be 7 races at Sandown, Canterbury and Eagle Farm, while Murray Bridge, Belmont and Hobart are running 8 races.

Racing will kick off today in Hobart with Race 1 Father’s Day Maiden Plate over 1100m at 12:00 (AEST). Today’s racing action will then wrap up in the far west of the country at 18:59 (AEST) in Belmont with Race 8 Perthracing.Com.Au Handicap over 1200m.

Currently at Sandown the weather is fine but the track is rated heavy, at Canterbury it is fine and the track is rated dead, at Eagle Farm it is also fine with a dead track, at Murray Bridge it is fine and the track is slow and at Hobart it is fine and the track is rated heavy.
