Sans Frontieres Shortens in 2010 Melbourne Cup Betting Markets

British trainer Jeremy Noseda’s Sans Frontieres has had his 2010 Melbourne Cup odds slashed and is now equal third-favourite with another top international contender, Japan’s Meiner Kitz.

The two overseas trained gallopers are now at $17 through leading online bookmaker to win the 150th Melbourne Cup, scheduled as Race 7 at Flemington on Tuesday November 2.

Sans Frontieres, a son of Epsom Derby winner Galileo, has been the biggest mover in the Melbourne Cup betting markets with cutting his odds from $31 into $17 as the punters get behind the five-year-old.

A top Melbourne Cup betting tip is to keep an eye on the market and follow the money, so jumping on the juicy ante-post price still available on Sans Frontieres now through could prove very profitable come November!

A winner of three of his eight career starts, Sans Frontieres latest success came in the Group 3 Geoffrey Freer Stakes at Newbury and since his win a fortnight ago there has been some huge bets placed on the improving stayer.

The Geoffrey Freer (2656m) was Sans Fronteires’ longest distanced win to date, proving his potential to last the testing ‘two-miles’ of the world famous Melbourne Cup.

Over 40 internationally-trained horses are among this year’s Cup nominations, all vying for a spot in the 24-horse Melbourne Cup final field.

The other question on many punters’ and racing enthusiasts’ lips is will Meiner Kitz Win the 2010 Melbourne Cup for Japan?

Meiner Kitz is the other top rated overseas raider who has had their odds shorten dramatically since entering the early Melbourne Cup betting markets as a $21 chance through
