There are two country race meetings running today, Echuca in Victoria and Goulburn in New South Wales.
Racing was scheduled for today at Tamworth but it has been abandoned due to heavy rainfall and the track has been deemed unsafe becasue it is covered with water. Racing NSW has advised that there would be no possibility of racing for at least 4 or 5 days at Tamworth or any other nearby TAB tracks, however racing at Muswellbrook is expected to go ahead on Friday 27 August.
Racing NSW is also currently looking into the possibility of running an additional race meeting to compensate for the number of recent abandonments in the North West region.
However despite the current uncertaintiy of racing in the North West of NSW don’t forget that there will still be quality racing for punters at Echuca and Goulburn today.
