Masquerader the Favourite in 2010 Golden Rose Pre-Nomination Betting

The Lucky Owners colt was narrowly defeated last Saturday in the classic lead-up race to the Golden Rose, when he finished second to Squamosa in the Run To The Rose.

Not A Single Doubt colt Squamosa, trained by Gai Waterhouse, maintained his perfect record of three wins from three starts in the Run To The Rose and is currently the third-elect at paying $6.50 to win the Golden Rose.

Other early favourites to take out the Golden Rose this year include Toorak Toff at $5 through, Group 1 Golden Slipper winner and runner-up Crystal Lily and Decision Time at $11 and $14 respectively and Hinchinbrook paying $12.
