Saturday’s Inglis Villiers Stakes Preview

This Saturday the Royal Randwick Racecourse is set to host another fantastic race day, with the feature event of the meeting being the $150 000 Group 2 Inglis Villiers Stakes (1600m).

The Inglis Villiers Stake is scheduled as the sixth race at the meeting’s bumper eight-race programme. While the other highlight of the day will be the $100 000 Listed Razor Sharp Handicap (1200m), which will run as race seven.

Heading the betting markets is Rabbuka at $5. The Gai Waterhouse-trained runner will be ridden by Nash Rawiller and is set to start from barrier four. Waterhouse looks to dominate the event, with her other runner, Rockwood, current second-favourite at $5.50 and all punters will be eager to see if the prolific trainer can pull of the quinella.

Anthony Cumming’s entrant Vardon Flyer has drawn the coveted barrier one, but sitting at the bottom line with bookies at $81, he can take any advantage he can get.

Another other highly fancied runner, currently third favourite at $7 is Offenders. Trained by in-form trainer Peter Snowden, Offenders has drawn barrier seven in the 14-horse field.
