The Crown Oaks Day has concluded with Sadalbari winning the 1600m La Vie En Rose Vase.
Despite many believing that race favourite Berringama would take out the Vase, Sadalbari managed to shoot through in the final 200m to narrowly beat Its Prince resulting in a photo finish.
Following behind the pair was third placegetter Ship In The Night by 0.6 of a length while Berringama trailed in fourth place by over two lengths.
Little Boy Blue was the first to lead by a length followed by Its Prince, Sadalbari and Old Songs until the swing around the turn when the leader slipped back into the pack.
Sadalbari and Its Prince peeled off to battle out the final 200m with only 0.1 of a length between the two.
For jockey of the moment Corey Brown, this was the perfect way to finish the day however he did have to switch hands with the whip to encourage the winner to push on in the final strides of the race.
Trainer Michael Kent knew the horse had it in him to win however he would have liked to of seen the gelding roll to the front earlier on in the race.
